Device Registration¶
Registered devices are linked to your player account. When you connect a TAK client to the MAGK server, the device is associated with your profile based on the certificate used.
Viewing Registered Devices¶
The Devices section of your profile lists all devices that have connected to the MAGK server using your certificate.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Device Name | Identifier reported by the TAK client |
| Platform | ATAK, iTAK, WinTAK, or WebTAK |
| Last Connected | When the device last communicated with the server |
| Status | Online (currently connected) or Offline |
| Certificate | Which certificate the device is using |
How Devices Get Registered¶
Devices are registered automatically when they first connect to the MAGK server with your certificate. You don't need to manually add devices — just install your certificate on the device and connect.
Each certificate is tied to your player account. When a TAK client connects using that certificate, the server identifies the device as yours and adds it to your device list.
Managing Devices¶
From the Devices section, you can:
- Rename a device — Click the device name to edit it. Useful for distinguishing between multiple devices (e.g., "My Phone" vs. "My Tablet").
- View connection history — Click a device to see its recent connection timestamps and events.
- Remove a device — Click the remove icon to unlink a device from your profile. The device will need to re-authenticate to reconnect.
Multiple Devices
You can use the same certificate on multiple devices, but only one device per certificate should be connected at a time. If you need to switch devices during an event, disconnect the first device before connecting the second.
Event History¶
Your profile also shows your event participation history.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Event | Event name (links to the event page) |
| Date | Event start date |
| Team | The team you were assigned to |
| Role | Your player role during the event |
| Status | Completed, Active, or Registered |
