Registration¶
Joining a MAGK event starts with registration. Your event organizer will share a registration link, QR code, or direct you to an on-site kiosk. This page covers each registration method from the player's perspective.
Registration Methods¶
There are three ways to register for an event:
| Method | How It Works | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Web Link | Open a URL in your browser and fill out the form | Remote registration before the event |
| QR Code | Scan a printed QR code with your phone camera | On-site registration at the venue |
| Kiosk Station | Use a shared device at the event check-in area | Walk-up registration without a personal device |
All three methods lead to the same registration form — the only difference is how you get there.
Registering via Web Link¶
Your organizer will share a registration URL (e.g., https://magktech.com/register/spring-exercise-2025).
- Open the link in any web browser on your phone, tablet, or computer
- Fill in the registration form:
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Callsign | Yes | Your in-game name visible on the tactical map and scoreboard |
| Name | Yes | Your real name for organizer reference |
| Contact Info | Varies | Email or phone — depends on event settings |
| Team Preference | If enabled | Select your preferred team (organizer may override) |
| Player Role | If enabled | Choose a role such as Rifleman, Medic, or Squad Leader |
- Submit the form
- You'll see a confirmation page with your registration status
Approval Required
Some events require organizer approval before your registration is confirmed. You'll be notified when your registration is approved.
Registering via QR Code¶
Organizers often display printed QR codes at the event venue, briefing area, or staging location.
- Open your phone's camera app (or any QR scanner)
- Point it at the QR code
- Tap the link that appears — it opens the registration page in your browser
- Complete the same registration form described above
- Submit and wait for confirmation
The QR code simply encodes the event registration URL. No special app is needed.
Registering at a Kiosk Station¶
Kiosk stations are shared devices (tablets or laptops) set up at the event venue for walk-up registration.
- Approach the kiosk station at the check-in area
- The screen displays the event registration form
- Enter your callsign, name, and any other required fields
- Submit the form
- The kiosk resets automatically after a short timeout for the next player
Kiosk Tip
Kiosk registrations may be auto-approved depending on event settings. Ask your organizer if you need to wait for approval.
